Terms of Service

Backedly is operated by Taeyun Kim, the Republic of Korea ("we"). By using Backedly you agree to these terms. You must be 18 or older to use it.
1. The service
Backedly compares a job description with your resume, suggests edits to the wording of your resume, and creates documents and PDFs. It is a writing aid, not career, legal or hiring advice, and it does not guarantee interviews or jobs.
2. Your content
You keep ownership of your resumes and job descriptions. You let us process them, including sending them to our AI provider, only to provide the service to you (see the Privacy Policy). You confirm you have the right to upload them and that your resume is truthful.
3. You are responsible for what you send out
Suggestions are written by AI and can be wrong. We check them against your resume text, but you must review every edit before using it and must not claim experience you do not have.
4. Free use and the job-hunt pass
New accounts get 3 free analyses. A job-hunt pass is a one-time payment, not a subscription, and never renews automatically. It gives 15 analyses within 90 days of purchase, whichever ends first; unused analyses expire with the pass. Prices are shown in USD on the pricing page and at checkout. Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase, and Paddle's buyer terms also apply to it. Exporting your tailored resume as a PDF, in any template, is never locked behind payment.
5. Fair use
Do not abuse the service: no automated or bulk use, no attempts to get around limits, no illegal or harmful content, and no attempts to manipulate the AI beyond normal use. Daily limits apply, and we may limit or suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. Availability
The service may sometimes be unavailable, and features may change. A failed analysis does not count against your limit.
7. Refunds

8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, including lost job opportunities, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be waived.
9. Ending
You can stop using Backedly at any time and delete your data from the Resumes page. We may end access for a breach of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
11. Changes
We may update these terms and will post changes on this page with a new date. Changes do not affect a pass you already bought.
